ACQUIT
THREAT / END USER ISSUE
In regions with tensions, the cease fires agreed upon along a border line are usually fragile. The global community is often asked to send in observers trying to maintain the peace and to report on violations from both sides. There is a need for well described events in the formal reporting, when, where, what kind of weapon etc.
Often, the number of observers is too little to supervise the stretches of borders. Unattended systems are needed.
Camera systems may be installed, but they do not provide always the information needed, as there might not be a line of sight for instance.
OUR SOLUTION
The ACoustic QUantification of IncidenTs (ACQUIT) firmware allows the detection and localization of hostile firing events, providing timestamped results on which side was firing what kind of weapon. The spectrum of weapons may include mortars, rockets and artillery as well as hand held small arms fire.
Hosted on a network of CASTLE sensor posts, either on the ground or vehicle mounted, the ACQUIT firmware allows a command post to monitor remotely the events taking place.
